UPDATED SERVICES INFO: Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804. A graveside ceremony will follow at 12 p.m. at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
QUEENSBURY --- Stephen D. Seybolt, 76, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024, following a long illness.
Born August 1, 1947, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Joseph and Thelma (Naylor) Seybolt.
Stephen attended Queensbury High School. He worked as a maintenance technician at the West Mount Health Facility in Warren County for over 30 years.
He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 – 1969 and married Barbara A. Dowd on May 23, 1970.
Some of his enjoyments in life were woodworking, spending time with his wife and family, singing, and watching sports. He especially enjoyed watching the New York Giants football team and New York Yankees baseball team.
Stephen was predeceased by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara A. (Dowd) Seybolt of Queensbury; children, Jodie (Hobbs) Lackey and her husband, Donald of Glens Falls, Stephen Seybolt and his wife Katherine of Buffalo, Joseph Seybolt and his wife Sherri of Argyle, Shawn Seybolt and his wife Amy of Ballston Lake, and Jona Seybolt of Colorado; grandchildren, Stephanie, Noah, Annelise, Maren, Jonah, Anna, Joseph, Nicholas, Tanner, Mickey, Brent, Quinn, Austyn, Miakoda, Kayleina, and Axyl; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Michele Garnsey and her husband Robert of Texas; brother, Joseph N. Seybolt and his wife Suki; his beloved Siamese cat, Charlie; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Stephen's request there will be no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all the medical staff at the DCI renal center for all their care that went above and beyond.
