Obituary

WARRENSBURG – Steven Kingsley, 55, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at his home.

Born in Fairhaven, NY on January 8, 1960, he was the son of the late Gordon E. and Marlea F. (Slater) Kingsley.

Steven served in the US Navy from 1980 to 1987 when he was
honorably discharged.
He rebuilt and remodeled an old mustang he was very proud of and currently owned a Dodge Avenger.

Steven liked to read and write science fiction with hopes to have some of his books published someday. Recently he was working on children's books. His son Jordan, who also has a love of reading and writing, will continue on in hopes to publish some books of his own someday.

Together, with his son Jordon, they spent rainy days watching old sci-fi classics. They enjoyed times playing Go-Fish, the game of Clue, and when the weather was nice fishing and swimming, as well as a recent trip to the Warrensburg playground to go sledding. One of Jordon's favorite times with his dad was on a school trip to Magic Forest; they loved to ride the roller coaster together.

Along with his parents, Steven was pre-deceased by a daughter, Sarah Kingsley and his brother, Jim Kingsley.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Heather Kingsley (boyfriend); two sons, Seth and Jordon Kingsley; sisters, Sherri (Harold) Holland, Debbie (Clark) Smith, and Denise Wallon; a brother, Jeff (Patricia) Kingsley; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many pets he truly enjoyed taking care of.

Calling hours will be held Friday, March 6 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
