GLENS FALLS --- Steven W. Scoville, 71, passed away following a long illness on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Glens Falls Center.

Born April 6, 1953, at Glens Falls Hospital, he was the son of Philip R. and Catherine E. (LaPoint) Scoville.

Steven attended Glens Falls High School but left early due to some unknown circumstances. He worked at the Glens Falls Country Club as a maintenance technician for over 40 years.

Steven enjoyed riding his bicycle in his earlier years, and as he got older, he bought a new red Silverado truck. He collected bottles and cans, and when he figured he had enough he would fill the back of his truck and cash them in. He also liked going to BINGO in his younger years, and he loved to play pool and go hunting. Lastly, he loved betting on the horses at the OTB.

In addition to his parents, Steven was predeceased by his sister, Gloria (Richard) Davis; and brothers, Larry (Nancy) Scoville, and Wayne (Laurie) Scoville.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Carol (George) Bosley, Nancy (Mark) DeLong, and Shirley (Elliott) Eldridge; brothers, Robert (Pat) Scoville, and Philip R. Scoville, Jr.; also, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, October 23, from 11 to 11:45 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A graveside ceremony will immediately follow at Glens Falls Cemetery on Bay Street.
