Obituary

LAKE GEORGE --- Susan E. Rourke, 73, of Jay Rd., Lake George, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born Sept. 13, 1939 in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Vivian (Vener) Korner.
Susan grew up in Albany, where she still remained in contact with many friends.
She married Richard "Dick" Rourke on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1979 at the Queensbury Hotel.
Susan loved her gardens, her scratch off tickets, and her wine. She could throw together a dinner for twenty in a moments notice. She also loved living on the lake and her many friends.
In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Barbara Rourke, who passed away Nov. 24, 2009.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 33 years, Dick Rourke of Lake George; children, Robin Cronin and her husband, Patrick, and their children, Carrie and Ben, all of Queensbury; Daniel Fiato of Glens Falls, and Michael Fiato and his wife, Sharon, and their son, Jacob, all of Hinckley, Ohio; a brother, Malcolm Korner and his wife, Molly, and their son, Andrew, all of Newton, Mass.; brothers-in-law, Bob Rourke and his companion, Carol Higley Benante of Kattskill Bay, William Rourke and his wife, Tori, of Moreau; also several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, many cousins, and dear friends.
Calling hours will be private and at the convenience of the family.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, with the Rev. Paul Cox officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Ft. Edward.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Tower 2 doctors, nurses, and staff at Glens Falls Hospital for all their care and compassion during this most difficult time.
