Obituary

Lake George --- Terry L. Dixon, 65, passed away at home after a brief illness with loved ones by her side on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Born October 16, 1959 in Mohawk, New York she was the daughter of Richard and Mary (Smith) Ray.

Terry graduated from Fort Ann Central School in 1977. After graduation she enlisted in the Air Force as a photo developer until 1981. Terry was also a manager with McDonalds for many years.

There were many things Terry enjoyed doing such as spending time with family, being outside, tending to her garden and "Terryland", hiking, thrifting, and crafting/ making things. She also was a big animal lover.

Terry was predeceased by her parents, Richard Ray and Mary (Smith) Ray.

Those left to cherish her memory are longtime companion, Marty Kelly; children, Bryan Dixon of Queensbury, Kori Dixon of Hudson Falls, Taylor Kelly of Hudson Falls, and Tori Kelly of Elmira; grandchildren, Hayden, Sophie; and grand fur babies, Harper, Figaro, Hannah; sisters, Tracy (Doug) Lechleiter and Linda Duffy; brothers, Curt (Cindey) Ray, Keith Ray, and Mark Ray; several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly; her beloved, Izzy; and the three outdoor cats she adopted.

At Terry's request there will be no funeral service. The family will be holding their own memorial at Pine View Cemetery to join her parents as well as a burial at Saratoga National Cemetery with full military honors.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Glens Falls Hospital Tower two nursing staff; especially Morgan Macdermid, and High Peaks Hospice.
