Tevye
Valencia-Ketcham
Jun 16, 1972 — Aug 30, 2024
CORINTH --- Tevye Valencia-Ketcham, 52, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2024, with her husband, mother, sons, and pastor by her side.
Born June 16, 1972, in Schenectady, she was the daughter of Peter and Barbara (Ham) Butchkowski.
Tevye graduated from Galway High School in 1991. She went on to attend Mildred Elley for paralegal studies. She worked as a teaching assistant at South Glens Falls Central School.
Tevye married Thomas Ketcham on June 3, 2018, in Lake Luzerne.
She loved gardening, cooking, horses, and her many furry companions, especially her dog, Sammy. She also liked to go to garage sales and couldn't pass up any free treasures! Tevye was very artistically creative and could turn junk into treasures!
She was very dedicated to her family; a devoted mother who loved her children – they were her world.
Tevye was a very devoted Christian, who loved God and giving to those in need. She was a good and caring person with a big heart, and she enjoyed working with the children at her church's nursery school.
In addition to her father, Tevye was predeceased by her grandparents, Carl and Donna Ham, and Stephanie Butchkowski.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Thomas Ketcham; children, Eddie Fuentes, Giselle Fuentes, Abraham Miguel, and Agner Miguel; grandchildren, Dylan, Carson and Cayden Fuentes; mother, Barbara Ham; sister, Alisa (Dan) Jenney; mother-in-law, Janet Jacobsen; father-in-law, Clifford Ketcham; sisters-in-law, Eileen (Kevin) Kram and Keri (Rich) Ketcham; brothers-in-law, Brian (Joslyn) Ketcham, David Abbey, and Carl (Angel) Abbey; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 12, at 1 p.m. at New Hope Community Church, 454 Corinth Rd., Queensbury, NY 12804.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the team of doctors and nurses in the ICU at Saratoga Hospital and Albany Medical Center, especially Dr. Kruchek and Dr. Daraban. A special thanks to Pastor Jeff at New Hope Community Church for his outstanding care and compassion.
