GLENS FALLS --- Theodore "Ted' R. Richichi, 67, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born November 29, 1956 in Brooklyn he was the son of Thedore and Veronica (Gardella/Russell) Richichi.
Theodore graduated from Baldwin Senior High School in 1974. He enjoyed writing reviews for TV Data and worked for many years at Hollywood Video.
He truly enjoyed anything to do with nature, wildlife, and the outdoors, which he knew so much about. He had an infinite knowledge of movies and television shows, personally rating them by saying, "I'd give it three stars." Ted was a talented illustrator, drawing detailed comics, movie posters, and wildlife photography. He also enjoyed listening to classic rock music.
In addition to his parents, Ted was predeceased by his beloved cat, Athena.
Those left to cherish his memory are his three children: a son, Theodore "Teddy" (Christina) Richichi of California, daughter, Jaime Richichi of Queensbury, and their mother, Nancy Murnane, a daughter, Casey (Tyler) Richichi of Central Square, N.Y. and her mother, Laurie Medico; a very special 6 month old grandson, Clark Michael Stassi, who got to meet his grandpa Ted recently; two brothers, John E. Richichi (Lisa Robison) and Thomas A. (Mary Jane) Richichi; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and friends, with special mention of the Rossmann family who were like extended family with the Richichi family; and his beloved cat, Icarus.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses, doctors, and staff at Glens Falls Hospital Towers 2, 5, and 6, for their care while Ted was sick, as well as Kevin O'Brien at Support Link for his tremendous amount of extraordinary help, and Tessa Baker of Visiting Nurses Home Care for her time and compassion.
