QUEENSBURY --- Thomas Francis Clifford Jr., 51, died Sept. 20, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born March 21, 1965 in Carmel, New York, he was the son of Marjorie (O'Connor) Clifford and the late Thomas Francis Clifford Sr.

Thomas served in the United States Navy for five years as a Corpsman for the United States Marines. After his discharge, he worked for Finch Pruyn for twenty-five years.

Thomas loved sports, especially watching his favorite teams: San Francisco 49ers and New York Yankees. He also loved spending time with his family on the boat in Lake George.

In addition to his father, Thomas was predeceased a brother, Daniel B. Clifford, as well as his grandparents, Michael T. (Frances) Clifford, and Daniel B. (Loretta) O'Connor.

In addition to his mother, Thomas is survived by his son, Thomas Francis Clifford III; granddaughter, Alina Claire Clifford; sisters, Jane Frances Clifford, Margaret Mary (Thomas) Derecko. Mary Agnes (Timothy) Siver; brothers, Michael Thomas Clifford and Stephen John Clifford; nieces, Rosina (Brian) Derecko, Jane (David) Pike, Meagan (Aaron) Mound, Molly and Abigail Siver; nephew, Michael L. Clifford; great nieces, Natalie Ella and Ryan and a special Aunt Sister Mary Agnes O'Connor.

Calling hours will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804. The B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 81 will conduct their Lodge of Sorrow during the calling hours.

A funeral service, with military honors, will follow at 11 a.m. the funeral home with Deacon Bill Bazinet officiating.

Thomas' family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Sponzo, Dr. Yun, Dr. Anderson, Dr. Bachman, and all the staff at the Cancer Center for their loving support and compassionate care.
