FORT EDWARD – Timothy Allen Dickinson Sr., 57, of Burgoyne Ave., Fort Edward, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Glens Falls Hospital on March 12, 1958, Tim was the son of the late Ernest and Luella (Mallory) Dickinson.
For a short time, he served in the United States Army. Tim was always seen as a hard worker no matter what he was doing. He was a free spirit, always on the go and living life as he wanted.
Known as "Mr. T." and "Crypt" to his friends, Tim was regularly seen dancing and having a good time. He enjoyed music, OTB, and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Along with his parents, Tim was predeceased by his brothers, Robert, Bud, Thomas, Pat, William, and John; his sister, Diane; and two grandchildren, Colby and Brendan.
Survivors include his daughter, Sonya Blackmer and her husband, David; his two sons, Tim Dickinson and his wife, Christie, and Tyrone "Tiki Boy" Dickinson; five brothers, Peanut, Mike, Phylip, Doug, and Mark; five sisters, Virginia, Sandy, Louise, Rose, and Anita; the joys of his life, his grandchildren, David Jr., Jordan "Bubby", Cali, Emili, Jaiden, Jaelyn; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will take place Thursday, March 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
The family wishes to send a sincere thanks to his sister Sandy for always sticking by him throughout the years, the nurse and medical staff at Glens Falls Hospital, 3 West for all they did in his final weeks, as well as, his daughter-in-law, Christie Dickinson for her constant care while he was in the hospital.
