POUGHKEEPSIE --- Timothy "Tim" Moynihan, 70, passed away om Thursday, March 30, 2017 at The Vassar Medical Center from heart complications.

He was born August 29, 1946 in Glens Falls, NY, the son of Francis and Marion (Kelly) Moynihan.

Tim graduated from St. Mary's Academy of Glens Falls, Castleton College, Vermont, and received his master's degree from The State University of New York.

Tim was an easy going, compassionate person who enjoyed spending time with his friends. He was a fan of all sports, with a special love of horseracing.

Tim taught at The Taconic Developmental Disability Service Office (D.D.S.O) in Wassiac, NY for 25+ years before his retirement.

Tim is survived by his wife, Katherine; a brother Jack (Sharon), as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

As per Tim's wishes, there will be no calling hours and a burial will be at the convenience of the family.
