GLENS FALLS --- Timothy Gilford Tucker, 53, of Chester St., Glens Falls, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at his home, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Born Sept. 11, 1959 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Donald J. and Joyce R. (Bates) Tucker.
Tim graduated from Queensbury High School. He worked in construction before owning and operating his used car lot, until he was diagnosed with MS and was unable to work.
Some of his enjoyments included watching movies, restoring and refinishing furniture, taking things apart to see how they work, crafting, and making clocks.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was predeceased by a stepsister, Debbie Benson.
Survivors include his special friend, Corinne Foote of Queensbury; two brothers, Bruce Tucker and his wife, Pam, of Ft. Ann, and Dave Tucker and his wife, Pam, of Baldwyn, Miss.; a stepsister, Melody Mae Hall of Leesburg, Fla.; a stepbrother, Brian Hall and his wife, Melanie, of Bolton Landing; special uncle, Willy Tucker of Queensbury; three nieces, Kristyl Tucker of Michigan, Sarah Tucker of Louisiana, and Emma Tucker of Miss.; two nephews, Josh Tucker of Whitehall, and Dave Tucker Jr. of Fla.; and several cousins.
At his request, there will be no calling hours or funeral.
A graveside service will take place Friday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at Warrensburg Cemetery, Hudson St., Warrensburg.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to his caregiver, Kristy Fisher, and his caseworker, Tammy Corbett, who took care of him for many years.
