KINGSBURY --- Tina Marie Straut, 57, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Glens Falls April 25, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth F. Celeste and Rose Marie Fisher. Tina was raised by Barbara (Lemery) Celeste, whom she considered her mother.
Tina graduated from Hudson Falls High School in 1977.
She married Robert A. Straut Jr. May 22, 1981 at Harrisena Community Church.
She was employed for many years, and most recently had the privilege of being a homemaker. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, family and friends. Some of her other enjoyments included gardening, sitting on her deck enjoying her property, baking, and cooking.
As a communicant of the Church of St. Mary's - St. Paul's in Hudson Falls, Tina was a member of the Rosary Alter Society.
In addition to her biological parents, Kenneth Celeste and Rose Marie Fisher, Tina was predeceased by her favorite uncle, Martin "Bubby" Celeste, her brothers, Edward R. Fisher, her grandmother, Lillian "Gramma Grace" Celeste, and a special dog, Babe, and a special cat, Crotch.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 35 years, Robert A. Straut Jr.; children, Rachel A. (Tim) McCane, Renee A. Straut, and Robert A. Straut (fiancée Meghan LaCross); grandchildren, Haley E. Straut, Maddison N. McCane, Kenneth J. McCane, Ariana G. Mahar, Payton M. LaCross, and Levi A. Straut; her mother, Barbara (Lemery) Celeste; brothers and sisters, Laurie J. Skellie, Kimberly Fisher, Angela P. (Tony) Germany, David J. (Flor) Skellie, Vince A. (Abby) Celeste, and Richard "Dick" T. Fisher; also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her special cat, Stink.
Calling hours will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, August 1, at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, at Church of St. Mary's - St. Paul's in Hudson Falls, with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch officiating.
