GLENS FALLS --- Vera F. Guariglia, 93, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Warren Center in Queensbury, with her family by her side.

Born in Niagara Falls, Canada, on March 27, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Bruno and Clementina (Vitale) Penna.

In 1953, Vera married Louis Guariglia in Niagara Falls, New York.

Following her graduation from New Rochelle High School, Vera trained and worked as a Nurse Technician.

An avid bowler, some of Vera's additional enjoyments included crocheting and making ceramics. Above all, she loved spending time with her granddaughter and attending family activities.

In addition to her parents, Vera was predeceased by all of her 8 sisters and brothers: Loretta D'Onofrio, Betty Quattrochi, Mary Friesello, and Joe, Leo, Anthony, John, and David Penna.

Survivors include her son, Leo (Jane) Guariglia; granddaughter, Christa Guariglia (Zac); and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

At the family's request there will be no public services.
