Brown Sr.
Feb 19, 1966 — Jul 19, 2018
JOHNSBURG --- On Thursday, July 19, 2018, an automobile accident claimed the precious life of a beloved son, husband, dad, grampa, brother, and friend, 52 year old, Wade B. Brown Sr., of Garnet Lake Road. All of the Emergency, Fire, and Police personnel who responded to the accident are appreciated beyond words.
Richard "Dick" H. and Charlotte Fay (Hitchcock) Armstrong were proud parents of their son, Wade, who was born Feb. 19, 1966 in Glens Falls.
Wade had a passion for anything with a motor, especially muscle cars and old classic cars, and was a die-hard Chevy fan. He was a skilled mechanic and jack-of-all-trades, always working on a vehicle or building some project. He also enjoyed collecting all sorts of antiques.
For many years, Wade was proud to work at Gore Mountain.
In addition to his grandparents, Wade was predeceased by a son, Bryan Brown, and a brother-in-law, James McDonald.
Wade genuinely loved his family deeply. He had a wealth of knowledge that they will all miss calling upon. His survivors include his wife, Diane (Smith) Brown; his parents, Dick and Charlotte Armstrong; his children, Wade B. Brown Jr. (Ashley), Raelynn Brown (Shane), Craig Brown Sr. (Jessie), Michael Clark (Skyler), Elizabeth Decker (Brandon), Lance Jenkins (Krystal), and Richard Jenkins; two very close step-daughters, Jamie Monroe and Danielle Sprague; many beloved grandchildren, Camron, Bailey, Aubrey, Noah, Shane T., Masyn, Kaida, Jacob, Craig Jr., Nicholas, Adrianna, Dean, Zoey, Leonardo, Avielle, Steven, Shayleigh; three step-granddaughters, Nicole (who was like a daughter to Wade), Desirae, and Destiny; a great-granddaughter, Charlotte, and another baby boy on the way; three sisters, Amie Gage, Lorna Hitchcock and John "Junior" who was like a brother to Wade, and Tessa Atkinson (Delbert); a brother, Jarret Brown (Jane); an aunt, Fannie Allen; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends, as well as his beloved dogs.
Friends and family are invited to join together Friday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to noon at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A memorial service will follow at noon, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Randy Cadwallader, pastor of Faith Bible Church.
Burial, next to his grandparents and uncle, will follow at Bates Cemetery in Johnsburg.
Condolences for the family may be sent directly to Baker Funeral Home, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
"Grieve not when I have gone away, but think of the wonderful days I was allowed to stay; to be with my family, other loved ones and friends. Many thanks to all who gave me courage to go on when the mountains seemed too high and I did not feel very strong. I know that I often made mistakes, but please know that I tried to give more than I would take. I loved each of you with all my heart, so remember only the happy times before we had to part."
