GLENS FALLS --- Walter Meader Jr., 58, of Glens Falls, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 after a long illness.

Born July 22, 1959 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Walter and Mary (Morehouse) Meader.

Walter worked for several janitorial companies.

Some of his enjoyments included horseracing, football, especially the Broncos, poker, music, visiting with his great nieces and family, and the country life.

In addition to his parents, Walter was predeceased by a brother, Frederick James Meader; and a sister, Laurie Anne Warnock.

Those left to cherish his memory are brother, Leonard Raymond Meader, Arthur Amos Meader, and Billy J. Meader, and his daughters, Brittany Lynn and Courtney Anne; sister-in-law, Theresa Meader, and Ida Bonesteel and her son, Richard Bonesteel; nephews, Harry Arron Smith and his wife, Maddy Smith, Justin Pumbley; great nieces, Mary Jane and Chloe Smith; a niece Jessica Marie Plumbley, and many friends.

Calling hours will take place Thursday, June 21, 10 to 11 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Flossie Bates officiating.

Interment will follow at Chester Rural Cemetery in Chestertown.
