QUEENSBURY --- Wilfried Wiesner of Queensbury, NY went to meet his Lord and Savior on September 24, 2016.
Wilfried was born on February 9, 1934 in Neukirchen, Germany to the late Wilhelm and Helene Wiesner.
After graduating from a science gymnasium and working for Bayer A.G. he came to the United States in 1956. He graduated with a B.S. degree in chemistry magna cum laude in 1962 from Fairleigh Dickinson University and obtained a M.S. degree in organic chemistry from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1969.
He married Jane George in 1961. She died in 1980.
In 1981 he married Faith Dugan Hayden who survives.
He also is survived by his children: Paul and his wife Leslie of Andover, N.J., Joanne of Seattle, Washington, and Christopher of Bloomfield, NJ. He leaves a sister, Margaret Brockers, and a brother, Paul Wiesner in Germany.
He has been a very loved step-father to Bill Hayden and wife Nancy from Tampa, Florida, Debi Inch and husband Joel from West Chicago, IL, Barbie Wright and husband Chuck from Queensbury, NY and Nancy Hueber and husband Tom from Winfield, IL.
His 11 grandchildren are Emily Hanson, Jeffrey and Jennifer Hayden, Jessica Siletzky, Billy Inch and Bethany Biggs, Stephen, Nicholas and Brittany Sheridan, Megan Gordon and Benjamin Hueber. His 7 great grandchildren are Wesley, Caleb and Alice Hanson, Matthew Siletzky, Anaiah and Hayden Inch, and Liam Biggs.
Wil had a long career with Unilever and, at retirement in 1993 was Director of Scientific Affairs. He was a member of Sigma Xi, of the Institute of Food Technology and the American Oil Chemists Society. He was an inventor of food and cosmetic products.
Throughout his life he was active in the church he attended and served on the session of the Presbyterian Church in West Caldwell, N.J. and on the vestry and as a choir member of the Church of the Messiah in Glens Falls. He was a man of integrity and godly example to all who knew him.
There will be calling hours from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Pine Knolls Alliance Church, 614 Gansevoort Rd., South Glens Falls, NY. Memorial service and concluding reception will follow at the church.

Burial in Bloomfield, N.J. will be private and at the convenience of the family.
